Book fair attracts students and parents alike

A week-long Scholastic book fair concludes today at The Varnett School East with Spy Pens and The Dogman books the top sellers.

Spy Pens contain magically invisible ink that writes a secret message with only the writer knowing what he or she wrote.

More than 100 students and 50 parents took advantage of the sale. Proceeds are reinvested in library materials or needs, said Ms. Rena Rosser, the campus media resource coordinator. A second Scholastic book fair will be held in the spring.

For more than 30 years, Scholastic has been providing students, teachers, and parents with access to thousands of affordable books and educational products. In addition to books, the sale includes posters, pencils and bookmarks.
