Mickey's Toontown Christmas Train

Our theme this year was “Christmas at the North Pole with Mickey and Friends.” The parents and guests received a train ticket  from the East Campus Train Depot. The ticket allowed them to take an imaginary train ride with Mickey Mouse and friends to the North Pole.  Ms. Voltz, the director, instructed all guest to buckle up and keep hands inside the train windows at all times. After all , one of our core beliefs is having a safe environment.

Each classroom represented a toyshop, where parents and guests made crafts with their children. The parents were invited to visit other classrooms and make crafts with other students. There was Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and the Frozen character backdrops where students and parents took pictures.

The parents and guests were served refreshments at the end of the train ride. This experience was designed to promote more parent and student involvement and engagement at the East campus. We accomplished this goal, having 97 parents and guests attend our event.

We would like to thank Dr. Stroud, parents and guests who came by to visit and ride the imaginary Mickey Mouse Express around the school.  Thank you staff for all the hard work you displayed, as you put together another “GREAT” theme.
