East "dresses down" for Hispanic Heritage Month

Early during National Hispanic Heritage Month, East campus showcased poster-decorated walls to commemorate the celebration of Hispanic contributions to the United States and to recognize the value of other countries.

In walking around the campus, you could see images of South and Central American countries designed by teachers and staff in observation of  Hispanic Heritage Month, which runs annually from September 15 to October 15.

Now, instead of walls, the students were the focal point, wearing bright Hispanic colors to keep the spirit going.

The celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month is an annual occasion at Varnett as one way to meet the needs of our diverse population.

Students and staff had fun and learned a few things about other countries along the way.

Thanks to all who celebrated these very special moments!
