A celebration of Grandparents Day attracted 20 guests who represented 44 students at The Varnett School East.
Grandparents Day, designated to show the bond between grandparents and grandchildren, was on Sunday, September 11, 2022, so East hosted its event the following day.
The hour of activities included students reading a poem to their grandparents, signing their names, posting a hand print under the poem and decorating it with a flower. They also were served muffins, Rice Krispies, water and juice.
"Grandparents are a very important part of their life and their academics," said Ms. Margarita Estrada, the campus parent liaison.
The East campus was very happy to salute our wonderful grandparents!
