Open House a rousing success; thanks for coming!

Open House at East Campus was another successful event. The students and parents were invited to come out and visit with teachers and staff for a classroom Promethean Board demonstration. The boards are connected to laptops for online teaching and entertainment.

The parents were also given grade level "scoop" news, which highlights classroom rules, class trips, conduct and homework requirements. The parents were very impressed with our latest technology tool.

The bell rang sharply at 6:30pm, which signaled the next step, Family Night. The families feasted on America's most popular food such as hot dogs, chips, and Varnett's famous punch. The parents, students, teachers, and staff next began playing a variety of games in our multipurpose room. Everyone was engaged in spending quality time with each other, while playing board games and listening to music.

To top off Family Night, was our free book giveaway. The parents and students were ecstatic about receiving additional materials to help maintain and exceed educational expectations and standards at school. All of our materials were given away. The parents and students are looking forward to our next event, the school carnival.

I thank all parents and students who came out to spend time with us. We are all part of the Varnett Family whose main goal is to be supportive of each other, so our students will grow up to be productive, well-educated individuals. I would also like to thank the Varnett staff who helped set up and participate in Open House and Family Night.

Sincerely Yours,

East Campus Director
