Eye-catching attire featured at Cinco de Mayo pageant

They all competed to be named Mr. and Ms. Cinco de Mayo based on grade levels. The groupings were based on grade levels

The three judges based their decisions on visual impact (“best overall”), originality (“most creative”) and addressing the Cinco de Mayo theme with fun and eye-catching attire. The judges were Ms. Chandra Kidd, Mr. Eduardo Lopez and Mr. Peter McConnell.

Here were the results:

                                                             Pre-K

East campus held the pageant on Thursday because Cinco de Mayo falls on a Sunday this year.  Cinco de Mayo is a holiday that celebrates the date of the Mexican army’s 1862 victory over France at the Battle of Puebla during the Franco-Mexican War. The day is also known as Battle of Puebla Day.
