Sports continues to make an impression at The Varnett Public School.
In a basketball game at Lakewood Park Wednesday, East beat Northeast 16-7. But all players enjoyed the spirit of competition and exercise in a spirited contest. East, which was designated the home team even though the park is much closer to the Northeast campus, had the support of its cheer and dance team.
Using the same venue for the next matchup, Northeast will be the host team and will enjoy the support of its cheer and dance team.
When the game was over, everybody gathered for a photo shoot in a show of Varnett unity.
Way to go, teams!
