Hispanic Heritage Month

The Varnett Public School joins the nation in celebrating National Hispanic Heritage Month, September 15–October 15. This annual observance honors the histories, cultures, and contributions of Hispanic and Latino Americans whose heritage connects to Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America.

At Varnett, we celebrate the rich traditions, languages, and experiences our students, families, and staff bring to our school community. This month offers an opportunity to explore inspiring stories, discover influential leaders, and deepen our appreciation for the many cultures that shape our nation.

We invite families to celebrate together by sharing a family tradition, reading a book by a Hispanic or Latino author, or learning about someone whose contributions have made a difference.

Together, we honor our heritage, celebrate our community, and inspire the next generation! Stay tuned for celebrations around the district this month!
