Members of the committee on curriculum, instruction and assessment meet twice a month to focus on reading, math, science and other subjects. Their goal is to provide the best curriculum to our students and to train and assist teachers in maximizing their talents.
Assessment is a key component to the group's mission because it creates reliable data that drives interventions to meet the needs of every learner. Dr. Lakesheia Hamilton, The Varnett Public School's chief academic officer, facilitates the meetings.
