Interactive touch screen display launched at East Campus

IT’S HERE!!!!!!

Today is a new day. The teachers are intrigued, the students are engaged and the campus is abuzz. Our Promethean Boards are connected and there is excitement in the air.

Today our teachers talked less and our students responded more. All were actively engaged and they enjoyed every minute of their educational activities. The Promethean interactive white boards allow teachers to interact with others using the available online tools.

Each board is equipped with a touch screen display and an attached projector is used to display images and output video. Promethean Planet is the support service that is available to teachers, ensuring that they are using the technology effectively.

Fifth-grade teacher Yolonda Brown showed her students a display of  “The Life Cycle of a Butterfly”. “This brings excitement for the kids,” Mrs. Brown said. “It’s very entertaining to them and keeps their attention. There’s less paperwok and it’s more hand-ons.”

Michael Singleton, a 5th-grader in Mrs. Brown’s class, agreed that the interactive boards will benefit everyone.“It’s going to be much faster than writing all the questions on the board,” he said. “We can do things right now.”

The campus has three Promethean boards for 3rd through 5th graders
The excitement is contagious and we cannot wait for the entire school to be equipped with this newest technology.
